A hardbound blue book in a printed carton slipcase.

Master ”K” writes in The Beauty of Kinbaku:

’The first useful guide to understanding and carefully practicing SM and shibari/kinbaku that I’ve seen is from 1972 and was authored by Urato Hiroshi, the talented bakushi responsible for the fine kinbaku in the Nikkatsu/Dan Oniroku films ”Wife to be Sacrificed”, ”Flower and Snake”, etc. Its title, translated on the cover into English (!) is ”SM Play: You Can Play S&M”. Like the title, the contents are simple and direct and offer general advice and photos on how to create straightforward but attractive kinbaku ties and enjoy various ”scenes”. It was an auspicious beginning for this genre.’ (p. 47)

Naka Akira: 責め縄絵巻 (Semenawa Emaki) (2011)

This 240-page full colour-book shows photos from seven different sessions, previously released on DVD by Murusou Club. (Quite like this one, but in another format: https://kinbakubooks.wordpress.com/2013/11/09/akira-naka-kinbaku-net-vol-1/ ).

One session is together with Naka’s sensei, Nureki Chimuo. Another one is dedicated to Muku Youji – and indirectly maybe also to Nureki, as Nureki very often did the tying that Muku Youji made the images of. In this session, Naka and the model Saki Momoka then use these images as inspiration. 日本緊縛師列伝 (Nihon kinbakushi retsuden)

This book, edited by Sanada Nobuyuki, I found particularly interesting. It presents eight Japanese bakushi with a section of colour images of their work, and interviews: Nureki Chimuo, Akechi Denki, Shima Shikou, Hige, Marai Masato, Naka Akira, Randa Mai and Sayaka.

In addition, it has a few historical sections with black-and-white images by Itoh Seiu… and a couple of pages with images of Osada Eikichi at the Bondage bar in Shinjuku – probably taken at the same time as the images printed in the magazine in my previous blog-post (here: https://kinbakubooks.wordpress.com/2014/08/19/osada-eikichi-in-m女マニアcollector-1999/ )
